Wonder where I get all those awesome riffs and crazy licks?
Being the not-so-good guitarist, I have to consult the interweb to find out how people like
Nigel Hendroff work their mojo.

Here's a really helpful site, made by a guitarist from FCBC. He has numerous contributions from other fellow players, who either play the guitar, or bass.
Actually, if you have clicked on that link, you would be in the web site already.

Go on, click it!

For all you bass players

There's a pretty new site for drummers too!

Not sure if the video is as helpful as those guitar vids

Finally, for those who were present at Ben's/Joshua's guitar lesson on 160907 (That's 16th Sept)
Here's someone basically improvising on the E maj scale (Ignore all the funny chords if you must)
No pedals

Strength and Peace

The nurses and doctors consider the fact that Priscilla has recovered completely from the infection in the brain a miracle because she is the first patient they have ever seen to survive such an infection in the history of the hospital, Singapore, maybe the world!

How Great is Our God!

Her fair color is returning, along with some involuntary movements as she did before the infection. Continue to pray that she will open her eyes and that the tracheostomy tube can be removed.

Priscilla Breathes!

Today Priscilla managed to tolerate her first 15 minutes of breathing from her nose/mouth with the trachy closed.

HALLELUJAH!!

Continue to pray this week as the doctors try to gradually wean her off the breathing tube.

isn't that just super amazing...? praise the Lord... for He is truly so faithful, Healer and God of miracles... Who dares say that prayer doesn't work...?

let's just continue to remember Priscilla and her family in prayer... faithfully praying that this is not the end of His miracles... but just the beginning...

Youth Camp Publicity / Youth Worship 22 Sep

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I last posted something cause I was rather dry and sian last week during the weekdays. But yah, God's really been faithful and amazing the past few days as I've continued to press on. But yah, won't bore you guys with my sharing =p.

Anyway, not sure whether you guys are keen to check out the publicity we had the previous week for youth camp. Lots of nice memories came back looking at the photos and videos and I really encourage everyone to come down. I'm not being biased towards this particular camp or anything but I really feel that this camp is going to be extra super!

And yep, just want to share with you guys a new song that i'm gonna lead this Saturday for Youth. Do take a listen and I quote a very famous quote from a godly brother:

"Lets rock for Jesus"

Saturday, September 15, 2007

okay, time for a new post.
its not very important, but a breather (inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale)

Question 1:
Andy and Betty laid dead on the floor.
there was water on the floor and the window was open.
how did they die?

Question 2:
there was this man found dead in his room.
he was hanged.
but there was only a puddle of water below him.
how did he die?

keep guessing. can find me if you want the answers!

YM + BB Activity

Hi once again!

Really hope I will be able to get some positive inputs from you guys cause I think it's about time we tried to organise a joint YM + BB activity. Though I've been alienated from the school calendar for a while, I can't believe I've let the 1 week school holiday go to waste without organizing something fun to do =(.

Anyway, as stated above, it's been a really long time since we've met the young people at BB and it's really such a waste if we let the friendships built during Batam just fade away. Problem is I really don't know we can do that would draw both the youths from BB and our YM. It's a shame that the BB guys didn't turn up in full force for the West Coast outing. Really think they would have come but there wasn't enough publicity over at their side.

Just like the last time I was in the Youth Room with a bunch of youths and they spontaneously organized and executed the West Coast outing, I hope you guys will continue to be proactive and take ownership of the YM =). Let's make our YM cool and fun!

So yep, if you have any suggestions please do raise them! And if you wanna help out or want to volunteer a friend to help out please do likewise!

Lord of Lords

Hi young people,

Hope you all had a super time at Youth on Saturday. Rev Mam's testimony was really awesome stuff. Really don't know of anyone with such a positive outlook on life inspite of that much suffering. And it's not like he has some screws lose between his years, the guy is really smart and educated. The power of God, gosh... amazing stuff. I salute this man and what God's done with his life with both hands! Let's aspire to make ourselves so much smaller and God so much bigger in our lives too =)!

And here's some publicity for Joel and i quote from his blog:

i'm leading this song... so all learn it by next week...! haha...

Verse 1:
Beholding your beauty is all that I long for
To worship You Jesus is my sole desire
For this very heart you have shaped for your pleasure
Purposed to lift your name higher
Here in surrender, in pure adoration
I enter your courts with an offering of praise
I am Your servant come to bring you glory
As is fit for the work of your hands

Chorus:
Now unto the lamb who sits on the throne
Be glory and honour and praise
All of creation resounds with the song
Worship and praise him the Lord of Lords
Verse 2:
Spirit now living and dwelling within me
Keep my eyes fixed ever upon Jesus' face
Let not the things of this world ever sway me
I'll run 'till I finish the race
Chorus 2:
Unto the lamb who sits on the throne
Be glory and honour and praise
All of creation resounds with the song
Worship and praise the Lord
Unto the lamb who sits on the throne
Be glory and honor and praise
All of eternity echoes the song
Worship and praise him the Lord of Lords

Bridge:
Holy Lord, You are Holy
Jesus Christ is the Lord
